The short answer

Clean lines, patched walls, and trim work that looks intentional, not touched up.

What is in scope

What this service actually includes

Good interior painting is mostly preparation. We patch, caulk, and prime properly so the finish coat lays down flat and the cut lines are crisp. The result reads as finished carpentry and paint, not a quick refresh.

What this covers

  • Filling nail holes, dents, and anchor holes and sanding flush
  • Caulking gaps at trim, baseboards, and corners for clean lines
  • Priming patches and bare spots so the finish is uniform
  • Cutting sharp lines at ceilings, trim, and edges
  • Minor trim repair and replacement where boards are damaged

What we'll refer out

  • Full-home exterior repaints are quoted separately
  • Lead-paint abatement in pre-1978 homes is referred to a certified specialist
  • Custom cabinet spraying and specialty finishes are outside our scope
How we do it

Step by step, so you know what happens

A clear sequence so there are no surprises on the job, and nothing skipped to save time.

Prep the surface

Fill, sand, and caulk first, the boring step that decides whether the finish looks good.

Protect the room

Floors, furniture, and fixtures get covered before a drop of paint is opened.

Prime what needs it

Patches and bare spots are primed so they don't flash through the topcoat.

Cut & coat

Sharp brush lines at edges, even roller coats on the field, as many coats as coverage needs.

Example job

What this looks like in a real home

A representative project. Photos are honest placeholders until we have real ones from this job.

Kitchen ceiling after an upstairs bathroom leak

Acton Single-family Water damage 2 days
Before
After

Plumber had already stopped the leak upstairs. We opened the stained section, confirmed the framing was dry, patched, skim-coated, primed, and repainted the full ceiling so there was no visible seam.

Every job is scoped in person and quoted before work starts, no surprise line items, no “while we were in there.”

Questions

Common questions about interior painting & trim

Do you patch walls before painting or is that extra?
Prep is part of the job, not an upsell. Filling holes, sanding, and caulking is what makes the finish look right, we don't paint over damage and call it done.
Can you match an existing wall color?
Usually yes. If you have the original color or an intact area, we can match it closely. If not, we'll help you pick and confirm with a sample before committing the room.
My home is older, is lead paint a concern?
In pre-1978 homes it can be. We don't do lead abatement; if we suspect lead, we'll pause and refer you to a certified specialist rather than disturb it.
