How estimates actually work

Two lanes, depending on the job. Neither ends in a surprise.

Lane 1, small & clear

Booked at the visit minimum

For a well-defined small job, the visit fee covers the trip plus up to the first hour on site. Many small fixes fit inside it, and if the work continues, the minimum is credited toward the total.

Lane 2, needs a look

Priced in writing on site

For anything bigger, a ceiling restoration, a turnover, we inspect first, then give you a written price before starting. If we open things up and find more, we stop and call before growing the scope or the price.

Why is pricing shown as a range instead of a fixed number?
Because honest pricing depends on what we actually find. These figures are 'starting at' guides by zone. The exact price for your job is confirmed on site, in writing, before any work begins.
What does the service-call minimum include?
It covers the trip out plus up to the first hour of work once we're there. Small fixes and inspections often fit inside it, and if the job continues, the minimum is credited toward the total.
Are materials included?
No, parts and materials are billed separately from the visit minimum. We tell you what's needed and roughly what it costs before we buy anything.
Do you charge more for travel?
Travel is built into the zone. Acton and nearby towns are our lowest minimum; farther towns and New Hampshire carry a higher starting point because of the drive.
